INSERTIONS – Interventions in the Public Space

What happens when resistance enters existing circuits of work and life? Artistic action can inhabit everyday life to confront and slip under oppressions, without becoming slogan, spectacle, or moral instruction.
Insertions gathers a series of artistic interventions unfolding in and around Papierstraße. Inspired by the poetics of resistance and drawing from practices of subtle infiltration, the programme explores public space as a site of encounter, friction, humour, and unexpected power to act. Six invited artists work with performance, material interjections and new community alliances to stir critical and joyful momentum on the streets– insertions into the social and material routines of everyday life.
The interventions emerge through neighbourhood relations and local rhythms, on overlooked infrastructures and situated forms of attention. Between poetic displacement and tactical precision, INSERTIONS asks how resistance may circulate through life experience itself.
