East of Nicosia, the historic center of Cyprus, which has been divided since the civil war of 1974, lies Kaimakli, a traditional neighborhood, locatedalongthe buffer zone. During the last two decades, empty houses and low rents have attracted new inhabitants and has given rise to a mixed social structure composed of migrants, young artists, new and old residents.
The annual Pame Kaimakli Festival aims to bring together the community of Kaimakli and to connect local and international participants through art, culture and social engagement. Our collective Stadtgewitter e.V. is excited to participate at this year’s edition.
