SUMMARY:Poetics of Resistance - Discussion & Reading Group
DESCRIPTION:How can art remain resistant when critique is continuously absorbed\, neutralized\, or suppressed? How can artistic action work politically besides the conventions of opposition? \nTalking Poetics of Resistance is a monthly reading and discussion group exploring artistic and theoretical positions situated between aesthetics and life. We focus on artistic languages that are rather metaphorical than didactic; subtle\, precise\, and humorous interventions that generate political resonance without collapsing into slogans. \nEach session brings together collective reading\, discussion\, and artistic work. We read key passages\, debate central arguments\, and relate them to concrete practices. Guiding questions accompany us: What makes a practice resistant? How does aesthetic or poetic form operate politically? Where can we locate the poetics of resistance today? \nTo join\, please write in advance to: talking@poetics-of-resistance.net

SUMMARY:Parasite School as part of On Parasiting
DESCRIPTION:On Parasiting (2026–2027) is an international\, process-based artistic and curatorial research project developed by Jakob Margit Wirth and Matilde Outeiro. The project investigates parasitic tactics as artistic methods of infiltration\, immersion\, and resistance within hegemonic systems. \nRooted in Jakob-Margit’s ongoing artistic research PhD on Parasite Art at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and Matildes interest on subtle resistance\, On Parasiting translates theoretical research into collective artistic fieldwork. The project begins in June-2026 with a public symposium (Parasite School – 14.-21.6.) at ZK/U that establishes the discursive framework\, followed by a residency phase in which invited artists enter institutions\, companies\, or social systems undercover\, working from within as a form of artistic research. \nThe processes culminate in a collective exhibition in spring 2027 (Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien\, presenting newly commissioned works developed from these embedded practices. Spanning Berlin and multiple international partner locations\, On Parasiting forms a transnational infrastructure for exchange\, experimentation\, and parasitic artistic practice.
